GGP is heavily investing into robotic lawn mowing and announces the acquisition of the entire quota capital of the company LiCo srl and the Lizard brand.
Following this acquisition, Global Garden Products (GGP) and Zucchetti Centro Sistemi (ZCS) have signed a long term strategic cooperation to jointly strengthen both their positions in robotic lawn mowing solutions in Europe and overseas.
ZCS will put at disposal its leading role and skills in robotic solutions both in terms of research and development as well as manufacturing. GGP is offering its marketing skills and sales network as well as its strong brands, planning to be further developed into gardening solutions.
ZCS is expanding its partnership in terms of volume, in order to become a reference point in Europe and overseas in innovative robot products for gardening, homes, indoor and outdoor, both domestic and industrial.
ZCS will continue to be fully active in its different markets as the innovative expert for robotic solutions with its brands as Ambrogio and Wiper whereas GGP will market the robotic lawn mowers as an integral part of its leading brands but foremost under the Stiga brand.
The GGP product range and portfolio will get enormously enriched by this investment, strengthening GGP leading position in the gardening market in Europe and overseas.
The Lizard range is available on the market immediately whereas the Stiga branded range of robotic lawn mowers will be available from early Spring 2012.
ZCS is part since 2000 of Holding Zucchetti Spa. ZCS, born as software house, establishes a position in the robotic and automation market, becoming a leading manufacturer of lawnmower robots as well as of indoor and outdoor robots.
